History

G.M.F. Industries, Inc. (GMF) began in 1982 with a 4,000 square foot facility, three employees and a limited supply of welding equipment to perform welding and fabrication work.

By 2001 GMF had expanded to our new facility, which encompasses 11.9 acres that expanded our total manufacturing square footage to 136,000. Our new facility has increased our productivity with better workflow, ease of loading and unloading trucks and equipment. Efficiency has also improved with all employees in one location. Management and employees worked together on plant layout and development of innovative ideas to facilitate an efficient, state-of-the-art manufacturing plant. We also added various new equipment- Plate Rolling unit to roll 5/8” thick x 120” long, a new CNC Lathe with a 24” swing, 80” between centers, a new 440 ton, 15 foot CNC press brake and a new CNC Plasma Cutting unit with a 96” x 240” table for cutting stainless steel and aluminum up to 4” thick. We have ample room to add new equipment as needed in the future.

Operations include Computerized Numeric Control Machining, Laser Cutting, Plasma Cutting, Gas Burning, Punching, Braking and Shearing for carbon, stainless steels and nonferrous materials. Fabrication and welding is performed and inspected to AWS or ASME Standards. Complete coating systems are applied in either of our two paint facilities. Our work force is comprised of skilled technicians and an engineering & design department that allow 24-hour production.

Customers include Industrial, Commercial customers for job shop manufactured parts and equipment for Automotive Industry, Citrus Industry, Construction Industry, Municipalities, Power Plants, Public Institutions, Phosphate Industry, and Various Major Original Equipment Manufacturere (O.E.M.) accounts. GMF’s products are shipped worldwide by our O.E.M. customers and by direct sales.

CLAM® Products Division was formed for manufacturing and marketing environmentally friendly aqueous parts cleaning machines known as the CLAM®. The CLAM® is a proprietary product of GMF and provides worldwide recognition in many industries.

ALLOY Products Division was formed to meet the STAINLESS STEEL, ALUMINUM and CARBON STEEL distribution and manufacturing market. Our customers can now be furnished any type of material from any grade, any size or shape to any stage of completion.

GMF STRUCTURAL Division offers complete Structural Steel, Miscellaneous Metal packages including ornamental items from a wide variety of metals including; fences, gates, handrail, trellis and archetectural trusses, piping fabrication and instllation. We also fabricate specialty fittings for large diameter applications. At GMF we can offer piping packages from any type metal specified. Our in-house pipe detailing department can produce shop drawings from your engineered plans. Steel packages start with your design and end with erecting. GMF has compiled a competent team of engineers and detailers to offer our customers complete shop drawings within days of receipt of contract. GMF's large employee base ensures parts and installation to be on schedule.

As you can see GMF can furnish a small part to a complete turnkey project with most of the items furnished by GMF. We offer a factory tour to any business associates with interest at anytime you are in the Central Florida area. GMF has grown to provide precision fabrication combined with precision machining providing a rare combination of skills to service our customer’s requests. We are continually updating our equipment and services to meet changing technology in today's manufacturing and construction environment.
